I have been following Oprah since The Oprah Winfrey Show went national in 1986.  She took the talk show genre to a much higher level and her shows helped to open my eyes, heart and soul.  I am a huge fan of SuperSoul Sunday because the guests and conversations are always amazing and thought provoking.

Over the years, I had read Martha's articles in "O, The Oprah Magazine" and seen her on TV with Oprah, but it was during a weekend workshop Martha had done with Elizabeth Gilbert that I became more impressed with her and bought her books.  Her sense of humor is big plus!

Brené Brown's TED Talk on Vulnerability got my attention.  Seeing her on SuperSoul Sunday with Oprah and various podcasts, I was drawn in by what she had to say about courage, vulnerability, shame & empathy.  At heart, she's a down-home Texas girl with a great sense of humor.
